As a technology teacher, I often use Common Sense Media as a resource to help students understand what it means to be a "digital citizen" in today's world and how to use technology safely and appropriately.
The Common Sense Media website gives parents helpful reviews and suggested age ratings for movies, books, video games, apps and more.
What if I told you that you could view YouTube videos without ads, comments or related videos? You can at the ViewPure website. Simply copy and paste the URL of the YouTube video you want to watch into ViewPure and it will "purify" it for you. I use this feature all the time at school to avoid advertisements.
Responsible Use Policy
Nauset's Responsible Use Policy (RUP) is a use guideline for electronic devices and network services. Students sign that they have read the RUP each year with their parent or guardian. These guidelines are taught in grades K-2, but I encourage families to read the RUP closely and talk openly about it with their child.
Lexia Reading Core5 is a reading resource available to all students at SBES. Lexia can be used at home on your computer or tablet using the login information below. If you have trouble logging in, please contact me using the email button in the upper right.
